EQUIPO
Unparallel exists because three people decided that the way they travelled deserved to be shared. Not the destinations alone, but the way of living them: with local access, with people who know the place before you arrive, with the kind of immersion that makes you feel at home in terrain most people only read about. Everything we build starts here, with people who have been there, who know the terrain, who choose the partners and who pick up the phone when you call.
Nacho Romagosa
Co-founder & Ski expert
«There is always somewhere new to check & new adventures to share. The process is thrilling and the reward deserves every effort»
«Ten countries, three continents, one consistent obsession: finding terrain worth sharing. Nacho has skied from California to Caucasus Minor, ridden Arctic fjords and lived a life split between Barcelona and Revelstoke, BC. He is the first person through every destination that makes it into the catalogue, and the reason some never do.»
The mountains were always there. Family weekends in the Pyrenees and ski trips to the Alps from an early age planted something that never went away. What started as a shared ritual with his family became, over time, an obsession with finding new terrain and new landscapes to ski, and eventually to share.
He studied and worked simultaneously, building a career in the outdoor and events industry while the pull towards something of his own grew stronger. The decision that changed everything came later: a season in Revelstoke. It was there, surrounded by mountains and a community that had built its entire life around them, that the idea that would become Unparallel took its first real shape. Oscar was already there. And when Pablo came through during one of the best ski weeks any of them could remember, Nacho and Pablo found the common ground to turn what they were each living into something they could share with others.
Today Nacho designs the ski programmes, leads the expeditions and is permanently looking for what comes next. The Arctic expedition in Norway. The backcountry lines in Georgia. New destinations found on skis and on a bike, because the restlessness that drives the search does not stop when the ski season ends. That restlessness is not a personality trait. It is the product.
Pablo Poch
Co-founder & Moto expert
«Every route I offer, I have ridden first. Some of them more than once. That is not a standard. It is the starting point.»
Pablo has ridden motorcycles across four continents. One of them he crossed from north to south, Barcelona to Cape Town, over 20,000 kilometres documented in full. He is the Local Hero of Morocco and Whistler, the mind behind every moto programme Unparallel runs and the person the group calls when something needs solving on the road.
Pablo grew up as his father’s faithful companion and apprentice. His father raced bikes and motorcycles, and Pablo was there for all of it, learning by proximity, by love and by instinct. Skiing the Pyrenees and the Alps in winter. Everything with a handlebar the rest of the year. The rhythm was set early and never changed.
He met Nacho at university and on the mountain. Whistler came twice: first as a teenager on exchange, where the place left a mark deep enough to pull him back, then again as an adult once he graduated. It was in Canada that skiing, mountain biking and snowmobiles added new chapters to what was already a long story on two wheels.
Years guiding moto routes through Morocco and the Cerdanya gave him the local knowledge that no amount of research can replace. He has ridden across four continents, built a map of destinations that most people will never find in any travel catalogue and crossed Africa from north to south on one motorcycle, a journey that is entirely documented and a story of its own.
The Local Hero of Morocco and Whistler. The navigator, the problem solver, the one who already knows what is around the next corner. If it has a handlebar or an engine, Pablo has already been there.
Oscar Báscones
Co-Founder & Expedition Filmmaker
«My job is to make sure that when you look back at the trip, you see it the way it actually was.»
Oscar left Madrid for Revelstoke and never looked back. From the capital of Spain to the capital of adventure: a move that made complete sense to anyone who knew him. He is the filmmaker and on-the-ground guide who documents what actually happens when the trips are real, and the only full-time year-round resident of the three founders in one of the most demanding mountain towns on the planet.
Oscar grew up in Madrid with sport and nature as constants. He studied audiovisual communication while working as a ski instructor in Spain and the south of France, two things that were always going to end up in the same place. When he finished, he moved to Canada. Not as an experiment. As a decision.
Revelstoke became home year round. The mountain in winter for skiing and filming. The trails in summer for mountain biking. He embedded himself in the local community, building relationships and a deep knowledge of the terrain that only comes from being there every season, not just the good ones. Over the years he built a body of work covering elite mountain events, collaborating with top athletes including FWT legend Yu Sasaki, and documenting terrain that most cameras never reach.
Today Oscar leads the creative direction of Unparallel and is the Local Hero on the ground in Revelstoke for anything the destination has to offer: skiing, biking, filming or simply knowing who to call. Everything visual the brand produces starts with him. His work is not content. It is documentation of what actually happens when the trips are real and the mountain does not perform for the camera.
When he is not in Revelstoke, he goes back to the Montaña Palentina, where his family is and where the mountains are a different kind of quiet.
